At Manndalen Sjøbuer, we offer rental of solid 17-foot Silver Viking boats with reliable 40 hp Yamaha engines – perfect for adventurous anglers as well as those seeking a relaxing trip on the fjord.
The boats are equipped with echo sounders for a more precise and efficient fishing experience, and are ideal for exploring the crystal-clear waters of the Lyngenfjord. After a day at sea, you have access to our convenient fish cleaning station and freezer room, making it easy to take care of your catch.
Whether you want to hunt for big fish, experience the Arctic coastal landscape from the sea, or simply enjoy the tranquility of the water, our boats are an excellent starting point.

Join us for a memorable 3-hour winter experience combining traditional cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and a guided walk through the charming village of Løkvoll. This is a light, low-impact activity designed for beginners and suitable for everyone from age 8 and up.We begin with a gentle and safe introduction to both classic skis and snowshoes.
Once everyone is comfortable, we’ll embark on a scenic walk through the center of Løkvoll, while your certified Arctic Nature Guide shares stories about local culture, nature, and history. The experience concludes with a warm cup of coffee and biscuits at the local handicrafts store – a cozy and authentic meeting place that reflects the heart of the community.

Experience the thrill of dog sledding even without snow! Join our enthusiastic Alaskan Huskies for a ride through the scenic Skibotn valley on specially designed wheeled carts. This family-friendly adventure allows you to drive a Troll cart accommodating up to three people—one driver and two passengers. The tour includes several breaks for photos and cuddles with the dogs, concluding with a warm drink upon return.

Have you ever wondered what Sea Sami culture is, or why some areas have signs in Sami while others don’t?
Visit the Center for Northern Peoples and get to know Sea Sami history and traditions. Join a guided tour of our exhibitions, where you’ll learn more about the Sami language, culture, and history. The experience continues with a cozy storytelling session in the gamme (traditional Sami hut), where you’ll hear about ancient Sami beliefs, bear hunting, and much more.
You’ll also get to taste traditional Sea Sami snacks and enjoy freshly brewed coffee (or tea) made over an open fire. Remember to dress warmly, as the gamme experience takes place outdoors.

Experience the fjord in a whole new way in our specially designed, transparent kayak built for two. Glide silently over the clear Arctic water while observing life beneath the surface.
Watch kelp forests, fish, and seabed formations through the kayak’s see-through hull as the surrounding mountains reflect in the water. A quiet and magical nature experience, perfect for couples or friends.
If you want both activity and scenery, we offer stable SUP boards with paddles. You can stand, sit, or kneel as you move through the fjord with towering mountains and fresh Arctic air all around you. SUP is easy to learn and gives you a calm and intimate connection with nature. A fantastic way to experience the coastal landscape at your own pace.
Between paddling trips, enjoy light and fun yard games with friends and family. We offer games like croquet, kubb, and giant Jenga, perfect for bright summer evenings and lazy afternoons on the lawn. It’s easy to create laughter, connection, and good memories in peaceful surroundings.
For those who want a longer trip in gentle terrain, we offer touring skis, ideal for northern Norwegian winter conditions. Glide silently across snow-covered plateaus, along mountain ridges, or through forested valleys. You’ll get exercise and the chance to experience the landscape as it’s been traveled for generations, on nature’s own terms. If you drive to the Center for Northern Peoples, there is a groomed and lit ski trail starting from there.
With our snowshoes, you can explore the Arctic winter landscape at your own pace, no matter the snow conditions. The snowshoes provide good grip and floatation in deep snow, allowing you to walk through forests, across marshes, or along the fjord, all while the snow crunches beneath your feet and the silence surrounds you. An easy and accessible way to experience nature up close, even for those without winter trekking experience.
